"By using the consulting services of Church Resources, we have seen a more streamlined approach to ordering. We no longer have a multitude of different companies and suppliers and don't have to cost products from different sources. Church Resources representatives have been helpful with any problems."
Susan Patterson, Director of Care, Edinglassie Caring Centres (Emu Plains) |

Greening Communities aims to help church and not-for-profit groups contribute to a more sustainable environment. The program brings together leading organisations and a collaborative framework which includes a simple process and four key foundation elements to help you develop, implement and maintain a sustainability plan for your organisation. The first phase of the program is focused on schools. |

| COLLABORATION |
 |
|
An organisation committed to treadling lightly on the earth must first understand its ecological footprint. Humanity now exceeds the planet's capacity to sustain its consumption of renewable resources .
Gain commitment to develop a sustainability plan for your organisation.
Set goals and develop plans to achieve your goals.
Reduce, Reuse, Recycle:
Take action to achieve your plan.
Review progress against your plan.
Do you need to offset greenhouse gases emissions that you can't reduce any further? Is your facility generating energy credits?
Review your plan and restart. |

Through collaboration with leading not-for-profit and for-profit organisations, Greening Communities:
-
provides Church Resources' members with access to a variety of knowledge, tools and direction to develop a sustainability plan which can help you improve environmental outcomes
- leverages the buying power of our members to provide you with quality environmental products at a discount price
-
creates a Demand Register for environmental product solutions to help aggregate demand in your local area
-
promotes communication and sharing of initiatives to encourage and inspire other not-for-profit organisations to act.
As part of the program, independent assessors will provide advice on environmental products to schools, health, aged care, welfare and parish facilities in order to help you decide the most appropriate approach and products for your sites.
Initially, this will focus on schools but we will systematically extend the program across all sectors.
Through our partner Eco Community, Church Resources has sourced a full range of quality products for water conservation and reuse, power and hot water from solar sources and more efficient use of traditional energy sources. Find out more.
Please register your areas of interest on the Greening Communities Demand Register and we will be in contact with you.
